Economics

If each of us is contained in the other, how can we compete against each other when we are, in effect, competing against ourselves? It would seem that cooperation, not competition, would make a more accurate form of economic organization, one that more accurately reflects our essential integration. How can a labor boss condemn the greed of the factory owner without condemning himself? And how can the owner resent the wage and benefit demands of his employees without recognizing that their demands are actually his? Again, working together, both within a business and between businesses might be a more effective and logical way of doing business. A Darwinian economic survival of the fittest may mean that we are just battling and fighting against ourselves. Clawing to the top may mean climbing over our own corpses.
